During our time on the World Race, Ghana is the second country we will be visiting. Ghana literally translates to “Warrior King” This beautiful nation is home to the largest waterfall in West Africa. Ghana has one of the strongest economies in Africa, and around 95% of children attend school. This country speaks English and many indigenous  languages. Family is a very strong bond in Ghana and its the primary source of identity, loyalty, and responsibility. Family obligations take priority over most things.

Ghana has some serious prayer opportunities associated with it. It is a source, transit, and destination country for human trafficking. This affects both adults and children. Many people suffer from aids and poverty. The country also still has deep roots in witchcraft and other tribal religions.

Please keep the people of Ghana in your prayers. Pray for the safety of their people. That they may be receptive to Christ’s love. That they may be healed, and that their lives may be changed. God loves the people of Ghana, and I hope to see Him move in big ways this upcoming year for His people.
