So we now have two full days left here in Da Nang Vietnam. A week from today our host had it on his heart to tell us about what he felt God was telling him. He really stressed that love without action is pointless. He was speaking from 1 John. This whole month our host has told us to go and make friends with the young people from english club and at the beach and invite them out. Get to know them and develop a friendship.

That conversation really motivated me. I feel like what we are doing is the purest form of missions. I couldn’t ask to do anything more meaningful. Maybe other than teaching a message, but it doesn’t matter the best thing we can do is what the Holy Spirit is telling us.

I met quite a few people from english club and others at the beach. I started to call a lot more people after the talk with are host. I got pretty close with two young guys from english club. They invited me out to eat at a local place on town. Then I took them out a few nights later to a place and we had a really good time. I got to share the gospel with them. So be praying for them, that they know Jesus. My idea of evangelism has totally changed over the course of this trip. I am constantly reminded by Lyle that we must listen to the Spirit and He will guide us. There isn’t a certain way to do it. We should keep an open mind to what the Spirit wants to do. There isn’t a formula. Although going in with a plan isn’t a bad thing, but I have found I expect something different all the time. I think how we live when no one is looking is most important to me. So I focus on that more than anything. One of the boys felt very loved by how I treated him. Praise God for that.

I feel a blog coming on very soon about me and my personal growth. Thank you all so much for your support. I couldn’t send any blogs while I was in Vietnam so I am sending out 2 now. Please be praying for me that I would press into my team the next 6 months that I would not avoid hard conversations. Pray that are squad would grow in unity. It has been hard for me to talk with my team about things. I made a big step today.Thank you all so much.
