My name is John Thorstad I am 26 years old and I got accepted to go on the world race a few weeks ago. I live with my parents in Alexandria MN. I have been walking with God for about 2 years. I struggled with not taking life seriously for a long time and God kept trying to wake me up about my eternal standing with him. I dabbled in different drugs for a while. I was willing to give up having any morals for a high. I just loved living for myself and wanted to live a life of entertainment. The devil had me hooked on the lusts of life and I thought I would do it for the rest of my life. God has loved me through it all. Now I live for him because of a big decision on my part to give up what I want and to live for his glory. He has done the rest and I believe he is working on my heart as I am willing to let him. I love sports, video games and just hanging out.
