I want to start by saying how loved I have felt this month! We have had very little Wi-Fi as there is none where we have been staying. We walk 2 miles to Starbucks or McDonalds (internet for them ice cream for me) to stay connected. Every time I have gotten service I have had a message, email or text from a friend waiting, expressing their love, wishing me well or updating me on their lives. This brings me more joy than you could ever know! So if that was you this month, thank you, thank you!

Okay down to business! I know I just posted a blog but I wanted to share a little about our ministry this month and how much we LOVE Argentina! Our hosts are the most amazing people!! Pastor Marcelo, or papa as we call him, and his family are church planters and we have been living and working in the newest church they have begun. Mornings have been spent sanding benches to go in the sanctuary or painting outter rooms. Some afternoons we were able to spend with members from the church who were nice enough to cook and share several local meals with us. Several evenings out of the week we went with Pastor Marcelo or another missionary pastor, Walter around the neighborhood to let them know the church had been established in the area and invite them to join us on Sundays. When we weren’t walking, sanding, eating or cooking, we learned songs in Spanish. Some of these songs were for the children’s programs we do on Saturday afternoons and some of them were to lead at church on Sunday morning.

One of my favorite moments this month was at our second children’s program this month. There were way more kids at this park than the previous week and it was a majority of antsie pre-teen boys. We had done several active songs and it was time for a Bible story before games. I had setteled in to tell the story of Abraham and how God called him to sacrifice Isaac. The boys probably missed the first part of the story because of whispering and playing around. Every time Marilyn would translate I would pray that the Lord would have His story shine through. As soon as the story transitioned to how this Old Testament story mirrored the sacrifice Jesus would make, the kids were silent. They hung on every word and listened to the end. It continues to blow me away how people respond to the gospel. We as Christians try to embellish and beautify the already most beautiful story in history. This story was told to grown men in the ports of Africa and then again to young children in a park in Argentina and God captures the hearts of people in the same way. He needs no assistance to pursue His people. Just a vessel in which to speak through. I cannot tell you how much this place and these people have filled my heart!

This title comes from our version of duck, duck goose. It translates to cat, cat, pig! Haha This is what happens when you have limited Spanish!

Door to door with Pastor Marcello ?

Kids Ministry ?

One Sunday, ministry looked like walking this sweet little girls one year old brother around the sanctuary for an hour so his mama could take a breather during the sermon.

Another big part of my ministry this month had been cooking most of our meals with Marilyn everyday.

And just for fun, our adventure day of horseback riding in the mountains.
