Hey everyone! I can’t believe it’s only 30 days until launch! I think it’s only just now feeling real to me, that this is actually going to happen!
Before I go, here are some FAQs about trip:
1. When are you leaving?
On January 3, I head up to Georgia for Launch. We will actually leave to Côte D’Ivoire on January 7.
2. When do you get back home?
I will be on this trip for 11 months, and I will be coming back on November 22.
3. Which countries are you going to?
West Africa: Côte D’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo
Southeast Asia: Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines
South America: Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, and lastly Peru.
Indonesia was actually a new addition. We had originally been going to go to Myanmar, but due to logistical reasons as well as ministry opportunities, we were switched over to Indonesia.
4. What will you be doing?
This really depends on the country that we are going to and so we will learn more as we get closer to the arrival date for each of these countries. Generally we will partner alongside a local church or ministry and may teach English, evangelize, feed the poor or homeless, or plant churches, to name a few possibilities.
5. Where will you be staying?
Since we will be working with a local ministry, we may stay with a ministry host. Other times we would have other lodging arrangements in the area. We will bring our tents but may not always have to use them.
6. How many people are going with you?
I am on R Squad and there are 32 others in my squad that are going on the same route. We have been divided into 5 teams of 6-7 each. Meet my team, Rak Pak, here!
