it’s been nearly 4 months since i’ve written a blog when we’re supposed to be writing them every week & i am so sorry errbody.

so hello, my name is jaynna in case you forgot lol

i haven’t written anything else from Ethiopia because i can’t put anything into words. some things just aren’t explainable, ya know? i will try my best to grasp a little bit in word form for you though-in the next blog.

my squad & i are currently in Granada, Nicaragua livin it up for the good God Almighty. i really love Nica. it is beautiful; landscape-wise, people-wise, FOOD-wise. all the wise. we’ve hiked a volcano, swam underneath a different volcano, & yesterday we boarded down a volcano. we’re having a good time. we live at the foot of a dormant volcano on a farm that bears plantains, limes, moringa, etc. our living situation is boujee. it is the nicest, cleanest living facility we’ve stayed in on the Race- we all had a sort of culture shock the first week, coming from Africa haha.

our ministry is working on the farm (manual labor) & prayer walking (evangelism). we do each everyday. i looooooooove ministry here. working on the farm is a BLAST. we get to use machetes and pick axes and shovels, it’s a good time. & prayer walking is beautiful. i have a big heart for evangelism so walking around talking to people is a good time for me. the first week we did it, we’d walk straight out the farm gate and stop at any and every house we passed and ask whoever was there what they needed prayer for and we’d pray for them right then and there-we’ve seen some sweet healings. & this past week, we partnered with a church and passed out gospel tracts and flyers for a healing event they’re putting on. it’s so much fun being in an environment that openly accepts prayer & talking. africa wasn’t like that all the time!

my runnin bud, Hannah, & i, run to as close as we can get to the volcano, Mombacho, about 4x a week and on the other days we, as a squad, get up at 5am and begin our day with prayer. when we first started doing this, i wasn’t excited. but now i willingly do it nearly everyday because the fruition it brings is so amazing. starting the day off by devoting your first waking hour to God is just bound to be a good day! i love spending time with God. that’s one of the biggest things i’ve learned to do while on the Race- spend time with my Creator, my best friend. it’s not a hassle anymore. i don’t feel obligated to do it. most the time an hour isn’t enough! we just talk and talk and talk. i look like a crazy person talking to myself when i do it, it’s great!! just me, God, and the lime orchards.

um so yeah things are good. gooder than good actually. i’ll keep you guys posted starting now haha
