ethiopia!
hello from row 39 D flight emirates! jk someone stole my seat and i’m sitting on the other side of the plane now. all good things!
my squad of 46ish is on our way from Cambodia where the Lord has done a lot of work in us and through us. now on to Ethiopia where we are expectant for the Lord to move in whatever way He wants to. we are ready to be His vessels!
i should’ve been in Ethiopia 6 hours ago (actually i shouldn’t say should’ve been because the Lord doesn’t make mistakes) but anyway 40 of my squad mates are already in Ethiopia waiting for the other 6 of us to arrive due to layovers + plane cancellations + flight delays-all of the above. so 6 of my squad mates and i got to take a detour to Dubai and are now finally fixing to land in Ethiopia. i just ate some red curry & quinoa and took a good 3 hour nap next to my new friend from India who speaks zero english!
i am PUMPED for Africa. i have tried my hardest not to listen to all the relative floating rumors about what to expect from Africa; it’s very hard. i have no clue what i’m walking in to and that is one of the things i am the most excited about! moving to KC and doing the WR has truly helped me to trust God with whatever He has ready for me. to be unexpectedly expectant of what is to come. to expect Him to move but to not put barriers or limits on the way He is going to do so by having things planned out in my head. because His way is higher & better & is going to happen either way!:) ultimately as well, to an extant, planning things out and not being go-with-the-flow is a form of doubting God and i don’t wanna do that. saying to myself that “this” is what’s going to happen leaves little room in my being for the “this” that God is going to actually allow happen! so now instead of being disappointed after something doesn’t go the way i thought it would, i get to rejoice wholeheartedly in any circumstance because God’s plan is unfolding in front of me without limitations from my mind! and He is GOOD!
so i am PUMPED! for Ethiopia

wifi is most likely going to be very scarce where we are staying at so you won’t hear from me as much as you have lately (Asia had the good good wifi) so bear with me & pray a little harder & i will reach out when i’m able! i’m pumped for no wifi! good things happen when you get to block out the cyber world lol! i’m just gonna miss my momma! but all is well!
prayer for my momma please!! having no kids to run around with is hard! shoot her a message or give her a call if she’s put on your mind for me! tell her i love her and remind her that God is GOOD!
