On this hill, we worked:till we physically couldn’t. We passed thousands of bricks, moved hundreds of sand bags, walked up and down hundreds of times, Dug countless trenches, and mixed a eternity supply of concrete.

On this hill, we exemplified team work. We pushed each other each other up this hill when one was tired, Created an assembly line to pass each brick, and gave each other words of encouragement to get every little ounce of energy out of us.

On this hill, we struggled. We went to battle everyday. The physical exhaustion, the feeling of being out of breath from the thin 11,000 feet of oxygen, the need for more and more water, and the days where you feel like your efforts are insignificant.

On this hill, we saw a vision. We see this wall as a physical/spiritual representation of protection for all who are hurting and in need of shelter. We prayed big prayers over this property. We saw all the healing that can come from a place where Gods kingdom is present.

I think one of my biggest lies I told myself during my time at Dunamis was that my efforts were insignificant. That as I passed one more brick, dug one more trench, or mixed one more bag of concrete, my efforts didn’t surmount to any fruit. But God has given me peace in the fact that we did the small things here to make room for the big things that are to come. That we helped lay a foundation and although we might not see the harvest, the harvest is coming. That we will see a new day when young girls aren’t victimized to the horrendous business of sex trafficking. Where these girls aren’t looked at for their quantified value to repulsive men. And they can be cherished for there natural beauty as children of God.

My prayer for this ministry is that all who come here hungry, you will prepare a feast for them. That all who come here thirsty, You will give them a spring well of living water. All who come here hurting, You would place a healing hand over them. And all who come her searching, You would remind them who they are in Christ Jesus. I pray for girls like Tatiana, Chama, Diana, etc. That You would reveal yourself to them in a way that gives them comfort in there hurting.  I am so thankful for the ways you opened my eyes through these last 2 months. And my heart is enlightened with the kingdom that is to come and the will that is to be done at Dunamis.
