We left Round Rock and head to Bonham, Texas. We stopped at Magnolia, from the show Fixer Upper. It was near Baylor, University. We stopped at Fort Worth and got to spend the night at Morgan’s uncles. We worked with a church in Bonham called New Zion. We were there for about a week and then took off for Lake Charles, Louisiana. Our host Katia and the lovely church family invited us in with loving arms. We worked with a first baptist church in Lake Charles doing disaster relief. We did bible studies in the morning, got to pick up around the church, and deliver food to people in need. I notice in Texas (South) there cultured around food. In the Midwest it is more centered around drinking. I told the host so eat plant based diet and they didn’t know what that was. We got back to the church for a week and worked at the church. We did youth groups, bible studies with men, got the explore Bonham, set up trees at the church, worked at food panties, and just got to be apart of the Church. We got to meet incredible people in all the places we went. We got invited out to dinner many times by families at the church. Grateful for this church and there hospitality. It was our last ministry stop and I just remember saying “I just want to enjoy the end to this season.” I realized how much I love the three people I was with. It was a beautiful end to growing season I look back and cherish.
We then got in the van and head to New Orleans for a night for Susan’s birthday on our way to final debrief in Panama City Beach, FL. God is Good! All the time.
