Hello and Welcome to my Blog! My name is Hunter Streff and I am 21 years old and the oldest of 5 children. I will be doing the World race beginning in August, where I will travel around the world sharing the Gospel and telling the world of the greatness of God. The Lord has been sovereign in my life and at the age of 20 I truly came to know Him.
I was born in Minnesota, but at the age of 4 moved to South Dakota, where I was raised and lived until I graduated High School. After High school I followed my dreams of becoming a College cross country runner and moved to Gunnison Colorado. However the Lord had greater plans for me and with only a month of Track and Field left before summer break I quit the team. This was an immensely difficult time in my life as I very much prided myself for my running and was known solely as a runner. When I quit the team I lost my defining characteristic. I was walking to my room one day when I turned the corner coming up the stairs and I bumped into my Resident Assistant. I made some small talk and asked him what he was up to this evening, but when he said he had just gotten back from a bible study my interest was sparked and I told him that I would join him next week. And so I did and the Lord’s grace was indeed overwhelming.
After this first year of College and coming to know the Lord I knew I wanted to do all that I did unto the Lord and so I heard from an old friend about Kauai Bible College and right away I signed up. I came to Hawaii with much on my heart and not knowing anyone or what even to expect from the program. But the Lord is good and although it was difficult, He blessed me with a heart with a desire to be like Jesus. I graduated from KBC on May 20, 2018 and have decided that my next step, the World race, will be all for the Lord and to repay Him, if even in some small way, for the tremendous long suffering He has had in my life. The Lord has blessed me abundantly in my time at KBC and I seek to now to share with others the wonderful joy the Lord has given me.
Support for my mission would be most appreciated whether financially or most importantly in prayer. My utmost plea is for prayers for the mission I will embark on, as I pray daily for the missionaries all around the world; for humble, passionate hearts for missionaries, and for converts, softened hearts, keen to hear of the most wonderful name of Jesus.
Please feel free to call/text or email me with any questions about the program, also please feel free to reach out about how I can be praying for you!
