Here’s a quick story about God’s timing and provision and how perfect it is. During our time in Botswana, we stayed with two lovely missionary families. They shared with us a mall that we should go to to meet people, so we decided to make a visit. The mall was outdoors with the center strip lined with small vendors selling souvenirs, hand crafts, and food. We split up into small groups and while walking about, two of the girls on my team met a woman named Tuto.

Tuto sold organic, high quality, hand-crafted fashion and accessories. She had been selling out of her home and at different locations, but this was her very first day to try out this location (also the very first day that we came to this mall). Through conversations, the girls had the idea that Ronny on my team could take some photos of her clothing for marketing material to help promote her products.

The next day we ventured back to the same mall. Ronny took photos, the girls modeled, and I even had the privilege to talk about her business with her, offering up marketing, store layout, and product ideas. As I learned that this was only her second day at the mall, I mentioned what a Divine interaction it was that we were able to meet Tuto and show up to the same location on the exact same day. That spun into a spiritual conversation, where I had the opportunity to share encouragement and hope based on what she was going through and how my testimony related to hers.

It’s so neat to see the way the Lord works. How He weaves such a beautiful tapestry and we play into that exactly as He chooses. The fact that God led both of us to the exact same place at exactly the perfect timing. We stayed with a missionary prior to these two families and they mentioned the University to reach out to, not the mall. Now, in God’s perfect timing, we were advised to visit the mall and it just so happens to be the same mall at the same time that Tuto arrives. Then, we have a photographer on our team, which allowed us to help her in her business. Then, He uses all of us with our special gifts to bless her and her business and through it all, His name was lifted up and we were able to encourage her in her walk with the Lord. Only the Lord could weave that entire story together.

This is just a taste of what Unscripted is like in a short story. There are countless other interactions that our entire squad has had with individuals, that completely point to the Lord’s divine working, moving, and perfect timing. It is hand over all of our interactions as we go out and have the blessing to share love and joy with others.
