All in love.

This is something you hear Jesus say a lot. To love. Simple. Love your neighbor. Love your enemy. Love with so much zeal and compassion it’s contagious to those you’re around.

Love is something that can’t be explained that well, it’s a feeling you experience. Think about all the people that love you and that you love. The kind that isn’t a surface level type of love but a real, deep down authentic love. The way you feel for that person and the way you feel when they love you back is what it’s like when you embrace the love from our Heavenly Father.

He loves us more than we can fathom. It drives me crazy. My mind can’t and will never be able to wrap around HOW much He loves us. How He loves unconditionally. No matter the sin or wrongdoing, He never stops loving us. Never. Can you imagine never being upset with someone you love, even if they totally turn their back and walk away from you?

The wild part about this is that this love doesn’t stop with God pouring it down upon us. It’s up to us to share and spread this love. “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you” John 15:12 Love isn’t something we can choose, it’s something we were commanded to do. To be representations of this love any and everywhere we go. We are vessels for the love that acts in big ways. Our mission on earth is not only to spread love, but to be love. Every step we take should be to glorify our Father and we should do it in complete love.

In class one of the kids who causes some trouble was acting up and Jesus told me that he loves him just as much as He loves me. It kind of shocked me. I was sitting there making judgments about this kid and God changed my perspective. He has the same kind of love for all of His children. He doesn’t pick favorites or says just because this one is a trouble maker I’ll love him less. This is the heavenly type of love. One that doesn’t have boundaries and will shock you sometimes.

I’ve learned that being love and showing love is very different. Being love is taking action. It looks like living everyday where your only purpose is to let someone know how much they’re loved and cherished. It looks like asking a stranger their name and where they’re from. It looks like random acts of kindness, extended grace to people in tough times, and constantly seeking the beauty in what the Lord has provided. It looks like living a full life. Living in an OVERFLOW. No act of love is forced. When the spirit fills you with this heavenly type of love, you’ll be overflowing with it and can’t do anything but share it.

Being love looks like Jesus. Every day. Every circumstance, it’s taking a second to think about what Jesus would do in that moment and doing it. How would he love to the max? Pushing the limits of what love looks like.

It’s now our time to keep pushing the boundaries. I want to challenge anyone reading this to be bold this week in love. Think about how you’re already loving those around you and take it one step further. Do something to stir the hearts of those around you. You have the love of Jesus inside of you and when you unleash it, amazing things happen. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love” 1 Corinthians 13:13 You can’t do anything without love, so you might as well love and love BIG.

Become love this week. I would really love to hear any stories or your thoughts on love. Feel free to email me anytime [email protected].

Important update! I am down to less than 2 months to fundraise the full $15,800 (I need $4,555) in order to stay on the field. Would you consider partnering with me to further spread love throughout the world? No amount is too small to help me reach my goal. Thank you all for the continued support and prayers!
