Just a forewarning, this blog is going to kind of be all over the place! In the last few weeks, I have been in a weird place, experiencing a lot of different emotions and reflecting on my life so far and what it’s going to look like in the future. A reoccurring message that has found its way to me is that life is only a breath, we’re not here forever, but our relationship with the Lord lasts for eternity so make sure that your relationship with Him is strong and trustworthy.
Over these weeks I’ve heard a lot of great advice and have had snippets of thought that I’ve been writing down. After realizing that I had a lot written down, I read through them and noticed the main theme was refocusing my life on my relationship with the Lord. Simplifying and reprioritizing my life is where I am right now. Hopefully, if you’re reading this, one or a few of these will resonate with you and where you are at in you’re life and your relationship with God.
-Time is precious, make the most of it
– Your relationship with God is more important than hanging onto bad relationships
-Keep your eyes on the main goal, don’t let others persuade you to go away from your faith
-As some things come to an end, God opens new doors for you and it’s your decision which door you choose but He is there helping you make that decision
-Recenter your life to focus on God
-We are here to share the light of the Lord, so be that light in the world every day wherever you go
-To grow in your relationship and trust in God, give something up to Him and He will take hold of your life guiding you where He wants you to go.
-Right now counts forever
-Use the talents and time that you were given to make the most of the treasures in life
-Be real and authentic, people will see it and respond to that
-God makes sense of the nonsense
-Trust in him even during your worst times, you will find strength in Him and His word
-People and dynamics change, accept that God knows who he is putting and taking away from your life and that it is for the best
-We are here for merely a breath, live life to the fullest and use the time you are given to make a difference
Here are some questions I heard during a sermon this morning and they really made me think, so here they are:
-Where are you wasting too much time?
-What are the bad relationships in your life?
-Where and why am I struggling to trust God?
-When you die and your life is compressed into one sentence, what would it say and would you be proud of it?
If you read this far, thank you for staying with my scattered mind. I know this isn’t a true ‘blog post’ but this is where my heart and mind are at 155 days away from launch (but no one’s counting, right?!).
-Grace
