I’m coming home. Very early on May 31, my squad heads to the airport in San Jose, Costa Rica to hop onto a flight to Miami, Florida. I will step foot back on American soil around 11:45 am. And then, the weirdest thing is going to happen; I am going to say goodbye to the people I’ve spend the past 265 days of my life with.
I am going to hang out in Miami airport for 4-5ish hours before hopping on a plane to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Home, sweet, home.
I arrive home around 10 pm on May 31 and will be greeted at the airport with my sweet family, and my dog (right mom?).
It’ll be weird returning home because I will have culture shock, have so many people to visit, step back into “normal life”, miss all of my sweet friends from my year away, and so much more. But, through it all, I have learned this year that with any feeling I have, to take it to God and He will give me peace.
Love Gab
