Fundraising is hard. Really hard.

I am currently working on preparing for a silent auction fundraiser this Saturday and it has been difficult. I have often caught myself doubting God’s plan for this event because of the late start on planning, calling people, and advertising. When everything doesn’t go my way; all organized and in order, I like to shut down and just wing it. I then start to hope it all goes well and choose not to keep fighting for it like I did beforehand.

While I was stressing out this evening about how no one will be at the fundraiser and how we won’t raise any money, I realized that my praise for my Heavenly Father was really LOW. I was worrying about everything that God already has a plan for. He knows who is going to show up, He knows how much we are going to raise, and He knows how myself and others are going to be impacted this Saturday.

As long as I do the best that I can and learn to praise God through it all, God will work the way He planned. And, if I learn to praise Him AT ALL TIMES, I will really realize and know that His plan is better than any I had in my mind.

So, Gabby, praise God like the miracle has already happened. Praise God for what He hasn’t done yet and KNOW that He is good.

Praise God in the way I prepare.

Praise God in the way I talk with people.

And praise God in the way I deal with the outcome.
