Hi!!

My name is Erin (some people call me E, and I usually sign really long instagram posts with that), I am 21 years old, and have lived in Virginia for my entire life!

I am the oldest of 4 (a sister, half brother, and step brother), and I am a dog mom to my crazy shepherd mix, Lady. I graduated high school in 2015… and went to Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, SC for only 1 semester before realizing that the timing was way bad, and I needed to do something else with my life for a little while. I came home and started working in my church’s nursery with 2-4 year olds and completely fell in love with children’s ministry, and taught 3 year old Sunday school for a bit!

This was a season of my life when my faith was growing the most ever had. I grew up going to church occasionally, and did YoungLife in high school, but I was given a new perspective after I came home from college.

In March 2017 I went on my first mission trip to Uganda. I stayed in a village near Zirobwe for 4 weeks, and my life will NEVER be the same. The people I met there and the friends I made who live all across the world have impacted me in ways I could never put into words. My faith was made stronger. I learned more about God’s people and the extravagant love He has for them, for me, and for you. It was while in Uganda that I realized I wanted to pursue longer-term mission work. I began to pray God would reveal to me where I was supposed to be, and what I was supposed to be doing.

I heard about The World Race when I was a junior in high school. It seemed waaaay too out of reach for someone like me (honestly, still kind of feel that way). I remember thinking/hoping/praying that someday I would have the opportunity to do the Race. That someday God would call me out into the world to show His love to the least of these.

And now here I am. Feeling more called than ever, and knowing deeply that God is equipping me more every day for this amazing adventure ahead.
