On dec 13th my teammate Kori and I fasted for everyone on my squad and their fundraising.
The morning started off hard as we had pancakes for breakfast and I LOVE PANCAKES! So it was difficult to see everyone eating them while I didn’t. However, it made me just think about what I am fasting for and how the father is so much more worth it than pancakes one morning. Once almost everyone left the compound for the day I stayed back and prayed in general over the squad. What came to mind was crazy and I didn’t think it would happen but I got the vision that the whole of V squad would be
F U L L Y F U N D E D B Y C H R I S T M A S!
The rest of the day I didn’t really think of it until during dinner. Kori and I went into our room and prayed together and she started saying that she heard not only today but multiple times before that the whole squad would be funded by christmas! The Lord confirmed this in me through Kori, just as I did to her. In that moment we both got the Holy Spirit chills and sweaty palms and we knew that this was from the Lord.
Later that night we spoke it over the squad and prayed it into existence. The whole day I have never felt more fulfilled with faith in my self but also in the Lord. He is such a big God and what we wish for is 1000x to small for things that we should be praying for. He is so faithful and so good we just need the faith in our selfs to dream and pray for the big things on our heart. In James 2:14-17 it says “what good is it, my brother and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes or daily food. If one of you says to them, “go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? in the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
