Wow ok lets just take a minute and let this soak in that im leaving in 10 DAYS… Holy cow. The day I first hear about the World Race, I was sitting in my youth leaders house with all of her friends from her youth group telling us what they all did after high school. I remember sitting, listening to my friends sister telling us about her gap year and how she went on this big trip (The World Race- Gap year A) spreading the gospel and love of Jesus and I was just like yup, This is what I’m doing. And now here we are less than two weeks away from launch. The one little seed planted into me has now spread into this big crazy adventure coming very soon and needing for me to step into trusting in the Lord to lead us, protect us and watch over us as we are stepping into new situations.
People keep coming up to me asking if I’m scared or nervous cause I have no clue where I’m going in any country, what I’m doing or where I’m staying, and my reply to them is that my loss of control over any of this is how we should be living our lives in the kingdom. Letting God have full control over everything we do, everywhere we go and walking in his plan not our own. Even if I did have control or know some of the details of my trip it’s bound to change at any point so why should I stress over a situation that might not happen. Or worry about going to a specific town that I really don’t want to go because God’s plan for where we go has so much more impact and he is all knowing as we are not. He knows what is best for ourselves rather far beyond what we do.
So my prayer walking into this new season is to be able to go and walk in boldness and confidence in Gods plan for this next chapter of my life, and that this boldness doesn’t fade. As well as being able to let go of ‘my way’ and trust in the Lords way!
As it says in Hebrew 13:20-21
20Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
God will equip us for his well doing and we just have to have a YES spirit and go
