Hey everyone!
Africa!
We are in Côte d’Ivoire this month, and my team of 7 is staying in a small village called Zepreguhe. The people here are amazing and are so generous. I could not be more thankful for such a great start to this year.
As a way to welcome us, they gave us local names in their language:
African names (Côte d’Ivoire)
My name is – Vôkoi, (voh- kwah) meaning unshakable
Katie’s name is – Bougoulei (boo-goo-lay) meaning valuable
Graces name is – Yohou (yoh-oo) which means courageous
Sara’s name is – Maca (mah-ka) which means your name will be know
Annie’s name is – Ozoua (ohz-wha) meaning beautiful woman
Olivia’s name is – Dogorè (doh-gor-ae) which means lifted up
Christine’s name is – Boudou (boo-doo) meaning good cook, or will do great things
This month our ministry is evangelism and leading sessions for kids, women’s ministry and young adults throughout the week.

We have been able to love on the children of this village by singing daily on our front porch and playing games with them. My goal for this month is to be an ambassador of Jesus love for the kids here.
The village is less than a square mile in size, so we have already meet most of the people here and are building relationships with them.
Through this year we are given adventure days. One day we went to a cocoa farm and tried its fruit (which kind of taste like slimy mango). They showed us the process of picking it from the trees, cutting it open, drying out the fruit and then using the seeds to make the chocolate.

Yesterday we did something that has been on my bucket list- feed wild monkeys! We traveled to a neighboring village and brought bananas to the forest and the monkeys took them from our hands.

Thank you for all your support and prayers to get me to this point!
I am so close to my end fundraising goal, and I need you help to get me there!
