Here’s to 2019 and a year of transformation and travel!!

Happy New Year Everyone!
Thank you so much for being here for me, believing in me, excited for me, encouraging me, and supporting me! I could not be here today without you all!
God, I am so ready for you to do big things in the world and in me!
I leave tomorrow morning, for the last few days of training in Atlanta, Georgia. We will be flying out Monday, January 7th, from Atlanta to Africa. We will arrive at our first ministry site on Jan. 8th.
Here is a breakdown of this 11-month journey:
I’ll be staying be living for the next year in a variety of different living situations: with a host family, in a hostel of some sort, sleeping in my tent, or on a church/shelter floor.
Some of the ministries I will be doing may include teaching English, reaching sex-trafficking victims, leading worship, praying for and helping the sick, orphans, the malnourished and serving those in need.
I have about 32 people on my whole squad, but we split into smaller groups of 6-7 and go to different cities and villages in each country based on the current need when we arrive. I am so ecstatic to get to spend a year with these people. Our journey is jam packed with amazing opportunities for service, so expect some exciting adventure updates along the way!
My small team is 6 young women: Grace, Olivia, Christine, Katie, Annie and me. I am lucky to have such strong women on my team. We are an adventurous group guaranteed to do and see some amazing things. We will definitely be having fun!
Typically we have some days off during each month depending on what our ministry placement will be, so we will be able to journey out into the cities and choose our own adventure. I will not have an international phone plan, but I will be able to connect via social media, mostly my blog when I have WiFi!
I cannot believe this is actually happening. I am beyond excited and I know the Lord is going to move in big ways around the world and in my own life, and I trust that He knows what He’s doing no matter what happens along the way.
Thank you’s: For those of you who have played a huge part in making this trip a reality for me. Thank you to ALL of my supporters. Without your donations and prayers I would not have been able to go on this trip. Thank you to everyone who has encouraged (and prayed for) me in any way over the past year, I am overwhelmed with support. I am forever grateful for all of you.
Fundraising: I’m currently sitting at around $10,000 right now which still leaves me with about $8,000 left to raise. I have a few months to raise the remaining $8,000 a little overwhelming but I am trusting that God is faithful and people will be inspired to come along side my journey, that’s one of the BIGGEST things I’ve learned from fundraising. If I’m not able to meet this final deadline, I am at risk of being sent back home to America and not finishing the race with my squad. So if anyone is interested in donating, please feel welcomed to do so. ANY amount is greatly appreciated.
