Every year it seems that people want the year to end. They want a fresh start and it almost seems like people begin to dislike the year we are ending entirely. Its a focus on the negative. So I was thinking, how about we focus on the positive?
This year so many:
Babies were born!
Children learned to read!
People graduated college!
People got engaged!
People got married!
People found their dream jobs and passions!
And along the way so many people found Jesus!
None of those things happened to me exactly but those are broad examples to get your mind going!
The year of 2018 to me is when God gave me some big directions in what to do with the next chapter of my life! He actually stopped a chapter in its tracks and began a new one! The World Race!
Many other things occurred this year and I wanted to share them!
- In January I turned 25! I began using my ski pass a lot! I did my first Shred 10!
- In February I went on the Real Life winter Retreat! My nephew was baptized! And we celebrated one of my best friends Kailey’s birthday!!
- In March we celebrated my mom and Aunt Mary’s birthday by going dancing! My Dutch friend Suzanne was baptized! And God began showing me that He had something more for me.
- In April we celebrated Easter and Christ’s resurrection!! My cousin Veronica got married!! And I applied for the World Race!!
- In May we celebrated one of my other best Megan’s birthdays! We also celebrated my older brother’s 30 birthday! And had Kayla Loveberry’s baby shower!
- In June I visited my sister and brother-in-law, Kayla and Nick, in Colorado!! While I was there we celebrated Kayla’s birthday and explored the mountains!! I went tubing on the Muskegon River for the first time! I also made it for a few evening sessions of the Power and Love conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan!
- In July I spent time with my family at our cottage! I began my job at Two Hats Ranch! I also got to go camping with my older brother and his family: Tyler, Melisa, and Evan and my parents!
- In August Aliyah Lael Loveberry was born! Karl and Moriah got married! Evan turned one! And Braelynn painted me during my last month working at the Early Learning Center!
- In September my little brother Jacob commissioned as a Marine Corps Officer! And I began a lot of preparation for Training Camp!
- In October I went to the Real Life Fall Retreat! I went to Training Camp! I babysat Evan! And I celebrated Kayla Loveberry’s birthday right after moving in with her and her family!
- In November I lived with the Loveberry family and took a million pictures of Aliyah! We celebrated Thanksgiving and I got to cook the day before with my grandma and mom!
- And now in December! I said goodbye to Big Rapids and my family there! I finished my jobs and Two Hats Ranch and as a custodian at Trinity Fellowship! I moved home! Celebrated Christmas with so many friends and family!
It’s been quite the year and it’s not over yet! I made this list by simply going through the pictures on my phone. I encourage you all to do the same! Remember the good times as well as the bad. Thank God for all that He has done and all that He has brought you through! 2018 was a good year in some way to every person!
I can’t wait to see what 2019 holds!!
