What has been the biggest surprise so far? Probably how much the race is about us as individuals. I came on the World Race to serve others, but a huge part of this has also been personal growth. I have gotten closer to the Lord and grown in my walk more the past few weeks than I have in a few years. I actually have two! I also think it’s been a huge surprise at how much I feel at home. This was probably the most out of my comfort zone thing I’ve ever done and I knew I would have mental breakdowns at the beginning, but I feel so at home and right where I should be!
