Wow, training camp has come and gone and in just 7 weeks I’ll be on my way to Thailand with my squad. I’m so excited and it’s finally starting to sink in. Training camp was exhausting mentally, emotionally and physically. That fitness hike wrecked me, but that’s another story. We camped in our tents in the woods for ten days, ate like we will in other countries and showered with buckets. We were all hungry and tired but somehow we made the best of it and were able to create bonds with our squad mates and become close with our teams.

At first I wanted to leave, I couldn’t imagine spending ten days with people that I had never met, let alone NINE MONTHS?! During worship I wasn’t feeling as connected to God as I could see my squad-mates were and I was starting to wonder if this was going to be the right place for me. As the week went on we got closer to our teams and I realized that there were other people feeling a disconnect as well. I wasn’t alone, and that was so important for me to be able to move past it and worship freely. I cannot express how full my heart is knowing that I will be living in community with the kindest, most tender hearted people I’ve ever met. We’re all so on FIRE for God and we get to share His love across the nations and I can’t wait to see how we all grow and change throughout the next nine months. As always, thank you so much for your support! I have a long way to go with fundraising and any little bit helps. Donations and prayers are greatly appreciated!
