Training camp was such an amazing experience, even though I missed having hot water for the showers. But on a serious note the worship was amazing. Seeing 300 teenagers all wanting to seek after God’s face and to praise his name blew me away. Each night it was like God touched me in a different way, and it made me even more ready to go on the trip and spend nine months doing the same thing. Before I left for training camp, I was very worried about how everything would work out, because I am a fairly quiet reserved person and was wondering where I would fit in at, but God had a funny way of working out and made it to where I was almost having to talk to people. And I’m definitely thankful for it because I have already made some great friends, and found I’m not the only one with a thick accent. Even though I had to take bucket showers, use porta potties, and go through the rough airport sleeping scenario, camp was amazing and has me even more ready to launch in September.
