Greetings from Honduras!
My team has arrived safely and we are staying in a city called the Valle De Angeles. Valle De Angeles is located about an hour away from the capital city Telegucia. The ministry hosts are very kind and we are staying in a beautiful house in the mountains. The couple we are staying with are named David and Scarlet. David grew up in Honduras as a missionary kid, went to college in Texas for ministry, and then returned to Honduras to do missions. Scarlet is Honduran and has lived in Honduras her entire life.
At the beginning of Launch we had the opportunity to purchase a necklace with a key on it. These keys are called Keys for the Journey. The person who makes these keys prays for a word to make on the keys for you. My key says believe and I’m planning to wear it on ministry days. I am excited to discover how the word believe plays a part in my World Race Journey.
My team will be working with special needs adults at a ministry called Hand of Hope. Please pray that we would love the adults we will be partnering with well and that they would see the love of God through us.
WiFi is walking distance from our ministry host and I will plan to be in contact with family and friends once a week.
