These last few months have been a bit of a whirlwind for me. In March I said yes to the World Race with enthusiasm and excited nerves and everything in between. In July I sent out support letters to friends and family. In August I almost dropped out of the World Race because well meaning family members had some concerns about the World Race. I’m thankful that I have people in my life that love and care for me deeply and are looking out for my best interest. In the middle of September I decided to pursue the World Race trusting the Lord that it was meant to be and I am confident it is still the Lord’s will.
I am in great need of prayer that God would meet my financial needs as I continue fundraising. I took a long break from fundraising over the summer and I am still a little bit behind on my fundraising. In the past week I have been overwhelmed at the generosity of friends and family who donated to my trip. My next fundraising deadline is to fundraise $2,000 to meet my $5,000 deadline before October 14th.
I excited to begin preparing for this World Race journey that God has called me to. I am looking forward to being at training camp in Atlanta from October 16-26 and meeting the other people on my team that I will be serving with.
