Hey y’all, so this isn’t a typical post for me but it is still a very real and dear blog that is close to my heart. As some of you may have seen or heard off of other social media’s I have grown very close to one of my teammates, Jordan.
Jordan is one of the most authentic, genuine, blunt, loving, funny, weird, intentional, caring, hardworking, faithful, adventurist, hipster, person I have ever met. Oh, and she’s from Texas whoop whoop!
Jordan pushes me to be the best that I can be, and better yet, she accepts me even when I’m not at my best. She listens when I need a listening ear and she pushes me to do hard things even when I don’t feel like doing them. I love that she calls me out on my crap and celebrates with me when I have a small win throughout my day to day life.
Jordan is a woman after Gods own heart and seeks wisdom above all else. The way I’ve seen her strive to grow and know more about the Lord is so beautiful to see. One of my favorite things about her is when I walk into our room, she has her bible out on her bed and she is intently reading a verse then pauses to write down notes about whatever she had just read.
For quite some time now I have been praying and asking God to bring me a girl that I could become really close friends with. I’ve always been great at making friends with guys cause there’s less drama and I’m like one of the (bros). As fun as it can be I still wanted to have community and friendships with girls. When I left for the race I prayed and prayed that God would allow me to find someone who was likeminded as me and not too girly, sure enough God was faithful and provided me with a great friend (such as Jordan) and a great team of girls.
Because Jordan is so great and means so much to me, I’m asking, to whomever reads this blog, please donate to Jordandaigle.theworldrace.org.
Jordan has raised $14,150 which is freaking amazing; however, she needs $1,650 to continue to stay on the race. It would mean so much to me if y’all could help support Jordan so that she could continue to grow closer in intimacy with the Lord and experience the rest of this crazy adventure while getting to grow further more in community and in our friendship.
If you have any further questions please contact me.
Thank y’all so much, Chooch.
