Where do I even begin. Mango is the coolest. He is my friend who is the social worker here at Hopethiopia. I’m going to tell you a story of what he said to me the other night which says so much of his character and love for Jesus.

As I was sitting on the couch the other night he walks up and plops down beside me. In his hands he was holding a compacted sleeping bag. He looked at me and simply said that someone had given him their sleeping bag so he could sleep outside in a tent next to me. Of course I got so excited that he would get to experience sleeping outside with a bunch of us under the stars. Then he proceeded to tell me he would be right back because he needed to go home quick and pray over his house that no robbers would brake in and steel things from his house. I was so shock by what he had just said to me. I repeated what he had said by saying “mango your going to walk all the way home to pray over your house?” He said, “yeah. Caroline there is power in the Holy Spirit and if I pray that the lords spirit would cover my house then no one will break in.” Uhhhh just wow. So often in our lives we take the lords truths for nothing. We blow past them and forget how present and real he is in everything we do. I encourage everyone that reads this to have faith like mango…

Trust and know that the lord hears you and knows the desires of your heart. He wants what’s best for you. But also wants you to go to him. He wanted so badly for mango to trust that the lord could hear him and protect his house. And when mango listened to the lord he rewarded him. His house was totally fine the next day.

Faith is confidence in what you hope for and assurance in what you can not see.
