Hey everybody!
It is crazy to think that in less than a month I will graduate from Texas A&M and begin this so called “adulting” thing everybody talks so highly about.
It is even crazier to think that it has been a little more than a month since I got accepted to the World Race. I still cannot believe it sometimes and I am not going to lie, it can get pretty intimidating thinking about the trip.
The main part being the cost. For me finances and money has always been a concern in what job I want to pursue and the way I live my life. This journey has really taken me out of my comfort zone and made me rely on Him. Funny how he does that sometimes.
Yet something keeps telling me it is going to be alright. I know God has me right where he wants me. In Matthew 6:35 Jesus tells us “but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Whenever I think of this verse, I remember all the times I would complain to my Grandmother about my problems and worries and she would just say this over and over… and over. Not going to lie I would just stare at her and walk away because she did not tell me what I wanted to hear. But it was always what I needed.
So here’s the deal.
Today I am going to follow His word in the only voice I can ever hear it in, thank you Mimi, and ask y’all today to please consider giving to my trip.
Right now I have reached $320 of my $18,200 dollars and I am so thankful for those who have already given! For many this is an awkward request but I want you to know that there is no harm if you cannot. I know for many that finances is a tight place and I would ask anyone considering donating to give it 24 hours to pray and find out if my trip is where God is calling you to give. There is a link on my profile that will allow you to give.
