“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” -C.S. Lewis
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
(Matthew 5:14-16)
Oh, hello there! I’m Carlyn – 24 years old, INFP, user of way too many exclamation points! I grew up in several places around the East Coast and Midwest, and now am living in San Diego, California, with my best friend and her family. I moved here from Ohio nearly 2 years ago, after I surrendered my life to Christ. I drink a lot of tea, read a lot of books, and give a lot of hugs! I am currently learning how to bake, which has quickly become a joy for me. I also write, mostly books for young adults. I would love to open a bakery and publish a book one day. (A girl can dream, right?!) I love music – like, a lot. I make playlists for just about everything. (Seriously, everything. I’m making one inspired by The World Race, too!) This is my World Race blog, where I will be writing about hopes, heartaches, and other bright and painful things. Here you will be able to read all about my journey over the next year and a half – from fundraising, to spiritual struggles and triumphs, to time on the field – as well as learn about the places and people I will be visiting and ministering to with my World Race team. I would love to chat with and/or pray for you! Feel free to leave comments, questions, or prayer requests on my posts or contact me using the “contact” tab at the top of the page!
