The worst experience of Training Camp, for me, was saying (a temporary) “goodbye” to my squad, the Sojourners. I don’t know what it was but I was immediately hooked on every single person. I couldn’t get enough. Of course, there were times where the introvert in me was dying for some peace and quiet but I learned to tune him out.
Our leadership prayed for us before TC and the word they got for us was “unity”.
The very first night of camp, a squad mate, who had no insurance or money, needed a epipen in order to stay. One of our leaders went to ask us all as a squad if we could help. She didn’t have time to finish her thought or even to pray before we all came together and gave the money we had. It was over $300 in under 40 seconds.
“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:35 ESV
I can’t wait to see how God works through each and everyone one of us throughout this next year. The cool part is, you get to be part of it! When you donate to our blogs, you’re enabling us to go reach people who have never heard the gospel. It’s much more than just giving $10, $50, or even $100. It’s about using all that we got to change the hearts, lives, and eternities of people all over the world.
