What is World Race?
World Race is a program done through Adventures In Missions that offers a variety of short term missions trips. There is the “normal” 11 month 11 country trips (what I’m doing) but there is also World Race Gap Year that is 9 months in 3 different countries and they are now introducing World Race Semesters!
How Long will you be gone?
I’ll be gone for 11 months!
Will you be alone?
I will not. Each route has a “squad” of about 50 people from all over the place. You all travel together and split up into your smaller teams once you arrive in the country on your route.
What squad are you on?
We are the squad formerly known as the January 2019 Route 3 squad (bonus points if you get the reference). I’m on S squad and our official color is green!
When do you leave?
I leave in January! Very happy I get to spend Christmas with my family.
Are you excited?!
I am! I’m definitely going to miss my friends and family like crazy but there is security and joy knowing you’re going where God has called you. The craziest part is, my little brother will be going into his second semester of high school when I get back! He’s already almost as tall as I am so….not too ready to see how tall he’ll be when I’m back home.
Where will you stay in each country?
Depends! Honestly, I do not know. Adventure!!!!!

What country are you most excited to go to?
Oh this is a hard one…It’s hard to pick just one! Okay, I can do this. I’m very excited to be in Africa for four months! I’m also really excited to be in India. Final answer: all of them.
Have you ever been out of the U.S.?
Nope!
Do you know any other languages?
I’m fluent in sarcasm. I’m trying to learn all I can while also being on a budget. I hope Duolingo works…
What all are you bringing with you?
Good question! So, I’ll be living out of my giant 65L pack and carrying around a 20L day pack. I’ll be doing a blog on gear/packing before Training Camp and possibly an updated one right before Launch! Stay tuned!
