Howdy ?? if you read my last blog (sorry is a video that wasn’t actually posted yet) you know that I had about a 15-hour bus ride and full day of travel getting to our ministry site in Mahapleu. Well, this blog I thought I’d tell you about my experience on this full day.
During the day of travel to Mahapleu I felt pretty sick, I dealt with car sickness on a level I’ve not felt before. I really struggled, but looking back I can see how God taught me about surrendering in my sickness.
I prayed and spoke with Him through out my travel and not feeling well during it. He also showed me once we arrived on site that it was okay to rest and allow my body to recuperate, that He can use that time in powerful ways; to speak, teach, sit with me, and show me about just resting in His presence.
Little did I know at this point how Surrender in Sickness would be brought about in a greater way at the end of the month/my time in Mahapleu and into February. Potentially more details on this to come in another blog.
After that first day after travel I felt much better, I had rested and was ready to go for ministry, pumped to see what the month in Mahapleu would hold. ??
I had surrendered my expectations and what things would look like and be like during my bought of not feeling well and took the time I had needed to rest physically and in the Lord.
