The night before leaving for Training Camp and the Storytelling Workshop I was a mess!
My emotions were all over the board, plus I was still trying to get some things packed and make sure I didn’t forget anything.
My goal was to be to bed early, yeah right… haha that so did not happen. I was giddy, nervous, anxious, excited, and in awe that this was really actually happening!
I got little sleep, but woke up fully awake, filled with supernatural energy. Praise the Lord!
The whole ordeal felt so surreal even as I was driving, for just days earlier I had been feeling like Training Camp was so far off and wouldn’t happen this year, but it was happening!
God came through and provided all that was needed. Wow, He is so good!
In all honesty it didn’t start to feel real until I had picked up all squad mate carpoolers and we were sitting in Dairy Queen eating lunch together; starting to get to know each other. That’s when it hit me, “Wow, this is actually happening… I’m going to Training Camp. For the World Race. In preparation to go on a mission trip for 11 months to 11 countries. Amazing!”
Our travels to campus were great fun, I don’t know why I was so worried to begin with! Haha, isn’t that how it usually goes… we worry with no need to be worrying.
“And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?” -Matthew 6:26
“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself.” – Matthew 6:34a
