Unlock Courage

Hey everyone, hope your week has been amazing! 🙂

I thought I’d share with you all this adventure I’ve been on to unlocking the courage within me, a journey to being a braver me.

About 2 months ago my best friend Hannah gifted me a devotional book called 100 Days to Brave, Devotions for Unlocking Your Most Courageous Self by Annie F. Downs.

Brave

At the time, I knew it would be good for me to do, but I had no idea exactly how great it would actually be for my life!

So far it has not only helped me become more courageous and brave, but has brought me closer to God in connecting with Him in an intentional way on a daily basis. I’ve found I often couple doing the devotional with more Bible reading, journaling, and prayer.

Going through this Devotional has encouraged me to dive deeper into His Word (the Bible).  In addition it has brought to life an interest in looking at different Bible translations (Annie uses different translations in the book), reading through and comparing them; thinking about the scripture on a deeper level than I was before.

I knew that there were other translations out there and heard about them often, when others used them, but I had personally stuck to reading one translation.  I never really thought I’d branch out and read several others, I honestly didn’t really understand the need for different translations. What was the purpose?

But, now I absolutely love it! I can get more out of a verse by reading it in different translations.  I once read a verse where only a couple words were different, but those couple words hit me like bricks and completely changed my perspective, impacting me in a greater way.

God has not only been transforming me to be brave, but has pulled me out of my small minded thinking about different Bible translations as well!

If you’d like to hear more about my journey to bravery, stay tuned and be brave; send me an email ([email protected]). 🙂
