I want to start this blog off with an apology. I am sorry, I am sorry I have not been updating my supporters as frequent and often as I would have hoped to. This race isn’t just for me, my heart behind this journey is that I’d bring my loved ones and others along with me. The enemy has had a grip on a weakness of mine and I am no longer giving him mind space. I am choosing to stand in victory because Christ already has been victorious.
I’ve been struggling with perfectionism and the fear of failure when it comes to sharing about the work the Lord is doing in my life and the ones around me.
My voice is valued and what the Lord is doing in my life isn’t for me to withhold it’s to share for his glory. The lies I found myself believing were “My blogs must be perfect before posting” “I’m not a good enough writer” & “I’m already behind with posting so if I can’t post in chronological order it’s not worth sharing.” I’m now taking these lies captive and not allowing them to keep my stories from being shared.
So, thank you for your patience and thank you for you grace! Thank you all for your constant love and encouragement and thank you for fighting with me in prayer.
LIFE UPDATE:
We are headed to North Africa tomorrow (btw that is a huge reason I came on the race) so I am SUPER excited and praying into these coming months has also got me fired UP!! These next few months will look a little different with social media and blogging to respect and protect the people we will be working with. My FB account will be deactivated, I will not be posting pictures on my Instagram and my blog will be password protected.
