There is a stillness in my heart that rests in the truths of God’s character and word. Without those truths the foundation upon which I stand would crumble under the waves of this life. There is so much division and strife in the world because people’s truths are based on opinion and comfortability.
Man is a fallen creature and without faith in Jesus Christs payment for your sins you are nothing before God. That’s a hard pill to swallow for some people and the opposite of how this world is going. This world preaches self love and self faith and when you discover the truth about spiritual warfare that is exactly what satan sought after when he was cast out of heaven. So following that ideology will lead to emptiness and a never ending chase of trying to please people.
But, when you do swallow that pill and all your brokenness and sin is before the God of the universe, in that moment, that low moment of vulnerability and nakedness you experience the love of the Father. Your eyes are opened to what the gospel truly means for you and the brokenness you once walked in now is taken away. You are given a fresh slate, born again into an identity love. No longer having to impress anyone or strive for anything but just resting in what Jesus already did. The gospel is rest.
Once you taste of His goodness you will forever glorify His name. You will forever be accepted. You will because He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Thank you Jesus!
