Are you aware of the authority you have in Christ?
I wasn’t until this month.
If the Holy Spirit is in you, when you walk into a room, the Holy Spirit goes there too.
We have the power to HEAL people. I saw so many healings this month. My squadmate prayed for this woman’s legs to be healed, and when he breathed on her legs, she was healed. Other squadmates spoke healing prayers over people’s headaches and back pains. They walked away pain-free and blessed.
We’ve been given authority to heal.
I have a condition called Costochondritis. It basically means my chest hurts most of the time. Someone prayed that the pain would leave my chest, and it did…..but the pain moved to my shoulder! Then he prayed for the pain to leave my body entirely, and it did!
And healing is only ONE of the many things God can bestow on us!
My sweet friend Lauren has a heart for evangelism. One night we were out evangelizing in the park. Lauren does not speak a lick of Spanish. But she followed a tug on her heart and went to talk to this man. All of a sudden she was SPEAKING FLUENT SPANISH to this man! They were having an entire conversation in this man’s language! I mean, what?! God’s so glorious.
We carry the name and the power of Jesus where ever we go. When my team went to the street where everyone was either selling, buying, or doing drugs, we brought the Holy Spirit there too. In the darkest of places, when we should have felt fear and the Enemy lurking, all of us said afterward that we felt a cloud of peace around us the whole time. The Enemy saw us coming and heard our intercessors’ prayers and had to leave!
There’s not room for both the enemy and God’s spirit to be in the same place.
We have the authority to dispel the Enemy. We can tell him to leave a room in Jesus’ name. The Enemy has nothing on Jesus! So tell him to leave! Tell him to leave your house, to quit bugging your family, to stop speaking lies over you.
Are you aware of the lies he’s spoken over you your entire life?
I wasn’t.
The lies the Enemy told me was that I’m not qualified, I don’t have enough Bible knowledge, no one will take me seriously, that the sins of my past disqualify me for God’s work, that the world’s standard’s for me is something I have to chase, that I have to pursue the American Dream. And on and on.
What lies has he been telling you?
We have been given the authority to free people through our stories. Did you know that? Our stories can actually bring freedom to people if we’re willing to be vulnerable.
Free people free people.
The grace we’ve been given can show this freedom to others. So don’t keep this freedom to yourself! Share it!
Do we care enough about our Uber driver/grocery store clerk/neighbor/family member to tell them about our freedom?
