What’s good, good people?! For those of you that don’t already know me, my name is Andrew Galea! I am a pretty fun-loving, ridiculously optimistic guy who loves the Lord and His people, and right now, I am traveling on mission with World Race America! I am pretty much an open book; you can ask me anything! I don’t shy away from any topic as long as you seem genuinely interested. Just to get started, here are a handful of things about me:
- I am 26 years-old, born on July 24, 1994!
- I went on my international World Race trip in January 2019 (S Squad “Sojourners,” Route 3), one year before launching with World Race America.
- Before the Race, I worked as a nurse on a post-operative oncology unit at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
- I originally grew up in Anaheim, CA, but my family moved to Nashville, TN when I was 8.
- My parents, Viorel and Elena, are both Romanian immigrants.
- I am the third of the six kids, so I learned early on that if you wanna be heard, you have to be loud. I am currently learning from the Lord how to break this habit. Haha. Still, if you get me talking about things I’m passionate about, you better get ready because I will talk your ear off!
- I love to discuss God and (ESPECIALLY) how the Holy Spirit is moving in our lives today.
- Do you want to talk about hearing the voice of God? Do you want to discuss the supernatural and awesome power of the Holy Spirit? Do you have all day and all night?! Let’s go!
- I really enjoy singing and worshiping with other believers! If you ever want to go caroling or just have a jam sessions, hit me up!
- I love personality theories!

- Spiritual gifts? I believe that as believers, we get to operate in all of them from time to time. The gift isn’t really to me anyway– it’s gifted to the body. I just want to present myself as a vessel that the Lord chooses to use to bring healing to the body of Christ in one way or another.
That brings me to where I am today! “What is World Race America?” you may ask! Well, to put it simply, it’s an 11-month long mission trip through Adventures in Missions. My squad an I will be traveling around the contiguous United States spreading the love of Jesus to everyone we encounter! I am so excited to learn more about what God is doing in the world around me! I want to see the Holy Spirit move and work in people’s lives in ways that only HE can!
I would be HONORED if you all would keep me and my squad in your prayers as we begin the next phase of our journey: support-raising. This is more than just fund-raising… It’s forming a team of people who will be praying for us and following us on our journeys: reading our blogs, commenting words of encouragement, speaking prophetically into our stories! This is going to be a wild ride for me, and I would love for us to learn and grow together through this experience!
