It’s hard for me to pick favorites when music is my rest. Music is where I can get away. Music is where I can worship but also where I can find silence. I know it is wild to think about but when I have music in my ears and I’m doing something else I drown out the music with what I am working on. Whether that is reading, praying, or just thinking. Music is where I can just get away. But more importantly than that, music is where I can get away with God.
I have loved being on the Race and having so much freedom in worship. But worshipping with music has and will always be my favorite thing to do. And worshipping in 9 different countries so far has just allowed me to feel his presence even when I don’t always know the language. And then worshipping with S-squad has truly broken me to the truest form of worship, surrender.
I once had a squad leader ask me where I feel the closest to God during worship and I had to think about that but not for long. I told her that during worship my favorite place to be is on my knees. Singing, praying, listing, and just sitting in his presence. There is that saying that comes to mind that says, “When life becomes to hard to stand, kneel.” Well, for me that is real. But more importantly, when I am consumed so much with what the Lord is doing in me and showing me all I can do is get on my knees for him. Something I have never really grown to appreciate.

Music is my favorite!! And it is my favorite because the Lord truly knows how to speak to me through lyrics. The words that he places in songs is powerful. So I just wanted to share with everyone some of my favorites. And picking favorites is hard when the Lord puts new songs in my path daily.
