This blog all started one night over dinner in Peru. Our dinner conversations were always random questions and full of silliness. One day I just wanted to know if you could be any princess which one would you be? This turned into us as a team deciding which princess best fits the character of who each team member is! So as we wrap up this last month as team Papoula Fogo, here is our final team blog all about PRINCESSES and a guest PRINCE!!
Aleesa- Pocahontas
Pocahontas is the perfect princess to describe Aleesa. Both love the outdoors and are recharged by the beauty of creation. They also both have a natural beauty about them that radiates from the inside-out! Pocahontas is a fighter for her people and will do whatever it takes to protect them. Aleesa fights for our team. She wants us to grow deeper in intimacy with God so she always willing to challenge us higher in that. She strives for true community and fights for that. Most quotable movie moment: “If you walk the footsteps of a stranger, you’ll learn things you never knew you never knew.”
Lauren- Elsa
Like Elsa, Lauren has been finding a beautiful freedom through finding more about who she truly is. She has come to embrace that and no force can stop her now. She has a warm heart for every person she encounters and once you get to know her your heart will be melted too. Most quotable movie moment: “You can’t marry a man you just met.”
Julie- Tiana
Julie is like Tiana in many ways. For starters both are incredibly hard workers and driven by the goals they’ve set in front of them. Her vibrant personality is second to none and is noticed by everyone we meet. She knows how to love and love well which is the greatest princess trait of all! Most quotable movie moment: “If you do your best each and every day, good things are sure to come your way.”
Tabitha- Ariel
Tabitha has this sense of adventure about the world. She doesn’t seem to lose awe in the wonders that the simplicities this world can give us. She chooses love first and it helps her endure any obstacle thrown her way. Like Ariel, there is so much more of this world that she wants to be apart of. Most quotable movie moment: “If only I could make him understand. I just don’t see things the way he does. I just don’t see how a world that makes such wonderful things could be bad.”
Madison- Merida
There is an inner strength that Merida carries within her that is very similar to Madison’s. Madison has this inner strength and fullness of faith that keeps her fierce and strong when strongholds come. Yet, she never loses the softness of heart for people. She is a fighter for God’s army and I bet if you gave her a bow and arrow she would excel at it just like Merida!
Most quotable movie moment: “There are those who say fate is something beyond our command. That destiny is not our own. But I know better. Our fate lives within us. You only have to be brave enough to see it.”
Ashley- Snow White
Ashley carries the gentle spirit of Snow White! You will always can find her whistling or humming a melodic tune. She lifts you up and corrects in such a gentle way that you know she has taken time to really get to know you. Like the seven dwarfs, sometimes we’ve needed some extra assistance, advice, or love so we’ve needed Ashley on our team to help us out!
Most quotable movie moment: “Bless the seven little men who have been so kind to me, and—and may my dreams come true. Amen. Oh yes, and please make Grumpy like me.”
McKenzie- Jasmine
McKenzie has this heart and passion to see a whole new world. One that is changed for the good. Though sometimes like Jasmine she can be a bit sassy, she is protective of the ones she loves and will become a fighter when needed to be. Most quotable movie moment: “I’m like a shooting star, I’ve come so far. I can’t go back to where I used to be.”
Brittany- Anna
Anna is a character that carries charisma, pure joy, and a childlike sense of wonder about the world around her. This is all Brittany all the time! She carries a charismatic charm that attracts people to want to be around her. If that wasn’t enough she has a sense of joy that bursts out of her when she’s doing something she’s passionate about. She also keeps a childlike part of her that always wants to keep growing and learning more and that childlike faith is contagious! She is a dreamer with plenty of beautiful things ahead of her. Most quotable movie moment: “For the first time in forever I’m getting what I’ve been dreaming of.”
Nick- Kristoff
Nick can only be described perfectly as the silly, humorous, and fun-filled Kristoff. Nick will stand up for and fight for injustice. As independent as he can be, he is most in his element when he is surrounded by others. You will be encouraged by his willingness to help others and get to really know them. Like Kristoff, Nick is willing to go above and beyond for the sake of others.
“Kristoff: But people smell better than reindeers. Sven, don’t you think that I’m right? That’s once again true, for all expect you. You got me, let’s call it a night.”
