If you made it this far you probably know that in January I will be embarking on an incredible journey to 11 different countries over the span of 11 months. And, if you are like most people you are probably asking yourself, WHY? Well, If I am being honest…. I probably don’t have the answer you are looking for. Because in reality, I am still asking myself why and I am definitely asking myself how. How in the world did I end up here? How is it that in 8 short months I am going to say goodbye to my family and friends? How am I going to sell my car and raise money and get all of the things I need (which is literally ALL OF THE THINGS!!!). And seriously, how did I get here?
I can answer all of my questions and probably all of your questions with one simple word, GOD!
Okay? So, maybe that wasn’t the most simple word but it was just one word? and He is really the only answer I have for you.
Since I was a kid I have felt that God was preparing me to go and to serve, I have always known that at some point I would be on the mission field in some capacity and my heart has continued to yearn for it. I wanted to jumpstart my calling, I wanted it here and now and I didn’t want to wait. But, if I am being real with you, I wasn’t ready and God knew this. But over the last few months I have heard him loud and clear, he finally told me to GO! Truthfully, I don’t know why now is the time, I don’t feel ready. But, I am choosing to run with abandon into the unknown and trust that he will do marvelous things through this journey.
