A simple encouragement, a smile, a friend to lean on. The truth is that I am nothing without the community, the family, the people God has given me. The people that helped shape my life and continue to stand by my side with each crazy adventure he calls me to. Heres a shoutout to a few of the important people in my life that helped me get to where I’m at on the race!
1. my parents.
Dang, I would be nowhere without these two. My mom is my best friend, teaching me to how to laugh, to teach, to care for others. My dad taught me how to grow in a relationship with Christ, to laugh, and to always show humility.
2. My siblings
I’ve been blessed my entire childhood with a smart, athletic older brother that I could always find when I needed help. Zach married Taylor and I have LOVED having an older sister to turn to when I need some advice, or just want to chat. My little sister Kailey has taught me to do everything without fear of judgment, she is the sweetest of souls.
3. My Grandma and Grandpa Reiter:
I was blessed growing up with 3 sets of grandparents that each loved me more and more each day. My grandma Reiter taught me to love adventure, to always embrace challenges, to live life to the fullest, I still miss her every day but I know she’s laughing with Jesus! My grandpa Reiter taught me how to fight, to shoot a gun, and to be strong.
4. My grandpa and grandma Munro
My grandpa Munro taught me to appreciate everything I have and to lean on my family. My grandma Munro taught me how to live a humble life with a real relationship with Christ. I didn’t appreciate it as much until I grew in my relationship with God. I know this woman is in heaven now watching over me.
5. My grandpa and grandma Hamilton
My grandma hamilton is a funny little lady! She taught me to be cautious and how to sew, which has been SO helpful on this race! My grandpa hamilton taught me how to listen more, and to observe people, and to golf but there’s no hope there haha.
6. Scott and Laura!
My uncle Scott, and Aunt Laura are amazing. When I told them about the race my uncle gave me my first dollar before I was even accepted. Then they surprised me by creating shirts for me to sell and gave me 100% of the profits to go towards my trip! They have been such a blessing in my life and I have thanked God so much for them!
7. Stephanie
My best friend since I can remember. This girl taught me resilience, strength, and has supported me no matter what. Whenever I tell her my crazy life plans and she never hates me for leaving her. I love ya girl!
8. Cory
I haven’t known Cory long but dang our friendship flew! This guy Marco Polos me each day while I’m gone, and supports me with all these God adventures. The best thing, we pray together, talk about Jesus together, and are supporting each other future God driven plans!
9. Carter and Alison
I grew up with these fools (mainly Carter the fool) and I love them to death. They are like a pair of parents to me, anytime I need help from them I can go to them and talk through anything. Plus Carter always knows how to make me smile!
10. My Churches!
I’m blessed to be attending two amazing churches at home, Sycamore United Methodist and Grace United Methodist. The two reasons I am funded for this trip! These churches and their congregation really supports me and loves me in all that I do!
Without these people, these places, I don’t know where I’d be. I’m so very blessed to have them in my life!
