Life is ministry, and ministry is life! This is something we were taught during training camp. At first, I didn’t realize it, but it makes a whole lot of sense! Something amazing happened during our travel day in between our ministry sites!

Growing up, I always thought that ministry could only be done at a church. To be honest, I didn’t really know what the word ministry meant. I just thought it was church stuff and church events. What I realize is that ministry is anything that has to do with the kingdom of God and sharing the love of Jesus.
Sometimes it’s as simple as praying for the cashier of a restaurant! During our travel to Bolivia, we stopped early morning beside a harbour and found a restaurant. We noticed they played Christian music and had Bible verses on the menu.
So as we were leaving, I asked if I can pray for her. It was such a simple prayer, because I tried to do a lot of it in Spanish, but when I opened my eyes after praying, she was in tears! Oh how my heart felt for her! I didn’t realize the impact a simple prayer could be in someone’s life. She must have been going through tough times. And it dawned on me that it wasn’t me who impacted her, but the Holy Spirit. I was just the messenger at that moment.

I truly believe that even at my lack of Spanish abilities, the Holy Spirit intercedes my prayers and the impact she and I felt was from God. As it says in the Bible:
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
Romans 8:26-27
So I encourage you, to constantly bring kingdom down! As it is on heaven, it will be on earth if we are ambassadors of God!
