Wow! Thank you so much for all the support you’ve given me in the last year! I couldn’t be anymore grateful!!!

At the start, when I was told to raise $18,200 USD, it was a scary feat. Especially being Canadian, that means it was at least 25% more because of the exchange rate. I was looking more at $24,000. But God is so good. He showed me that I can rely on my friends, family, and church when we are called to do God’s work.
My fundraising was a mix of many things. I was blessed to have offered freelance work in exchange to raise funds for my missions. From doing CG video work, to filming music videos for HOWM’s Christian band, to filming friend’s recitals, and selling my camera gear and belongings, I was able to raise a lot from this.

But that wasn’t all. The generosity from my friends and family and coworkers have been overwhelming. People I never expected to have supported me, graciously gave me money. It really brought me a wave of emotions! I was humbled by the love people have for me! One of which was a donor who ishes to remain anonymous.
She was someone who donated so much, someone who isn’t well off or in a great position to give, but because of her heart to want to further the kingdom of God, she gave generously. I was in tears when I received the letter and the cheque. I couldn’t believe this person who just met me and the only interaction we had was me presenting my missions trip, would be so supportive of me. She told me she always wanted to do what I’m doing but couldn’t have the chance, and now she wants me to do it on her behalf. I am so honored to do just that.
I learnt a lot from fundraising. It was hard for me to do, but I realized that this isn’t about me personally, but allowing my friends and family to bless a ministry that will share the love of God through me as the hands and feet. I learnt that people want to be a blessing, and if you don’t allow an opportunity to fundraise, I would be blocking friends and family the opportunity to bless. The generosity of people made me realize how loving people are!
I am forever grateful, and will continue to put in my 100% into this mission trip just as the parable of Jesus about the talents (Matthew 25 : 14-30) , I will steward what was given to me as best I can!
Thank you friends and family!!! <3
