Okay, Okay, the first blog wasn’t at all about a lady or comforters.

SO lets go back in time a couple of weeks ago.

Okay, here we are, Loaves and Fishes, a thrift store I started working at about a month and a half after coming home.

I usually work in the back sorting all the donations that come through the store but this time I was out in the shopping area when a lady asked me about the price of a red, gold comforter. I walked over to her and immediately noticed her red hair and cropped bangs. She looked tired and a little worn. This was one of the few comforters that we had in the store front and when she saw the discounted price she wondered if we had any other kinds, we rarely have lots of one thing but I found one with pillow cases and we priced it and got it out for her. She started to explain to me that her boyfriend had shredded most of her things that she was simply trying to find things to replace them. When I asked if I could pray for her, she eagerly said yes.

As I was praying for her Holy Spirit whispered to me that she did indeed come for a comforter and it was Jesus.  I had the overwhelming sense that God was praying over her comfort as she was I looking for one.

I got to be a part of paying for her comforter and by helping her purchase the comforter physically I got to be a part of blessing her in a very real way and hoping she knows how real Jesus is to us. She left having experienced the heart of God loving her and providing for her.

Let people enter the House of God that reside in you and leave with the peace and presence of God.

Carry His heart out.
