What do you do when you have two days to plan a crusade? You pray and scramble to get things done and money fundraised. This is what happened our last two day in Rwanda. We asked our host if we could go into the market square to play some worship music and they said we could we just needed to ask the community leaders. So we asked the community leaders and it turned from a small worship night to a full on crusade with preaching and worship and everything.
We posted on social media to help raise the $150 for the funds then we got about building the stage and advertising and getting everything set up. They invited one of the top gospel artists in Rwanda to come as well to help bring in a crowd. They usually do a full three day crusade every July but this year they had to cancel so it was definitely orchestrated by the Lord for us to have the crusade while we were there. We were expecting maybe 300-500 people to show up since it was so short notice but we wound up having somewhere between 800-1000 people come. Part of this was because the community leaders had everyone shut their shops down and come to the crusade so that raised our attendance a lot! We started out with our church doing worship and then our team did worship. Next we had the gospel artist come up to do some music and then Jen came up to share the Gospel. After she got done with the Gospel we did an altar call and saw around 300 people give their lives to Jesus, we also got to pray for healing for a bunch of people! Overall Rwanda was super fruitful we saw around 316 salvations, prayed for hundreds of healings and saw a couple of deliverances of people being set free from demons as well! I loved Rwanda and can’t wait for this current month in Uganda!
