God has revealed himself in so many ways since I’ve been in Ecuador.
For starters, living on a tight budget can be really challenging sometimes. But the Lord provides.
When we were looking for places to stay in Quito Ecuador we found an Airbnb that was a little over budget. We gave it a shot anyway and the owner brought the price down significantly for us, and the Airbnb is so nice. It has multiple rooms and bathrooms. It has a huge kitchen and living space that allows our team to function well. The home was actually built for missionaries who come to Quito!
When we got here and started talking to the owner of the home and explained to her what we were doing here she instantly started finding different ministry opportunities for us around the city. This is a huge blessing because it can be hard to find organizations on your own to invest in for a short period of time.
She introduced us to Jean who works at a local school. He invited us to come and help in classrooms. He also provides breakfast and lunch for our team! Free food!! And let me tell ya it was really good food.
Not only has God provided more than I could ever ask for he has also brought me a joy that only comes from him. He is seeking me out right now and it’s so so evident.
I constantly just want to shout in praise or get on my knees and thank him just for being such a good father to me. He has brought me comfort in the times that I miss home. He reassures me I’m exactly where I need to be when I want to quit. He shows me what it’s like to be fully reliant on him for joy, energy, strength and wisdom.
Papa has been so good to me this week and I can’t help but praise him. I’m so thankful we have a Good Good Father.
