Hey friends! My name is Taylor Flickinger (aka T-Flick) and I hope you’re excited as I am about what God will be doing on this trip. I am 22 years old and I am a graduate of Cornerstone University. I studied History and recently I have been working and volunteering as a historical interpreter. I have many skills and hobbies ranging from photography, graphic design, and writing, to golf, soccer, and downhill skiing, to playing the jaw harp, didgeridoo, and tin whistle. But my real passion is for loving people the same way Jesus Christ has loved me.

To me the world often seems to be riddled with negativity. The media reports on political turmoil; divorce rates are up; depression and anxiety affects our friends and families; less people seem to be satisfied with their jobs; refugee numbers around the world are increasing… The list never ends, and it is easy to let our minds get caught up in every thing wrong with the world. We are broken people living in a broken world. But the good news is that our God is in control of all these things, and that Jesus loves us despite the brokenness. I believe that God showers us daily with miracles and blessings that we don’t always see, and I believe that we are most beautiful when we are broken because it allows for a loving God to make us new. I myself have struggled with deep depression and anxiety, the death of a best friend and a grandpa, homelessness, and a recently broken engagement. But my identity is founded in the love of God and His faithfulness, and because of that I will always hope in His promises and dedicate my life to being a Kingdom builder.

Why am I doing the World Race?

Each person has a story, and I believe we can each find inspiration in one another. We are called to live in relationship with one another: whether that is someone in my neighborhood or in another country. Despite my brokenness, I want to use my story to show others the love of Christ, to bring joy and hope into the midst of this world’s sorrow, and to share a smile with all of God’s people. I hope to connect and inspire many people with the stories of others around the world and the work God is doing to bring about His glory in the world.
