I am on month 7 of my World Race. I am so grateful for the support I have received from you! I love reading your responses to my blogs! You have made it possible for me to go on this trip. The World Race has deeply impacted me and my understanding of following Jesus.
I was so blessed to be fully funded nearly one year ago! What a surprise it was for me to be fully funded so quickly, and it’s because of your generosity!
I am on a team with 4 other people, and our team name is “Corpus Christi” (Latin for Body of Christ). We have traveled to 9 countries so far, sharing the Gospel everywhere we go. This has been through building relationships with people we work with/help, volunteering at churches and Christian organizations, and connecting with random people who talk to us because they want to practice English!

Two of my teammates, Jenny Mejia and Jacob Kane, are still fundraising. As a team, all 5 of us pull the money needed for this trip from the same account. So we are not completely funded until all of us are fully funded.

Jenny, me, Jake

Jenny:

Jenny 26, is my fellow third-culture-kid, who grew up in Florida and Colombia. She has traveled the world quite a bit, but wanted to travel with a Purpose, so she signed up for the Race! She is full of wisdom about faith, and is always ready with a great Christian book recommendation! She designed “Good News” pins as a way of raising funds, not just for herself, but for Jake as well! (And she hopes to keep selling them after the Race, to raise money for other missionaries!) She has $3,500 to raise still. https://jennymejia.theworldrace.org/

Jacob 23, is my fellow mid-westerner from Wisconsin, so we say “bag” the same way. He has a surprising testimony, actually coming to full understanding of the Gospel while on the Race. He got baptized month 2 in Taiwan. He has such a genuine faith, and him coming to Christ while on this trip is such a testament to the huge impact this trip is making on his life! He is selling a really cool t-shirt with a quote from the Chronicles of Narnia. He has $8,100 to raise still. https://jacobkane.theworldrace.org/

Following Jesus isn’t safe. We aren’t guaranteed a smooth life. Going on this trip was a test of faith for all of us, to trust God that he will bring the funds in. But we are absolutely confident that God is good. And will finish the good work He began! He’s not safe, but He’s good.
